On Veterans Day I will be speaking to the students at Kokomo High School during their Veterans Day Program.....All of them....all 1800+ of them in 2 separate sessions....telling of my Journey to Jackson Street! It will obviously begin with the story of Neil. I have met with school officials and described how Neil and the other 2 were killed and given the green light to share it. Please remember me in prayer...beginning right now please as I am beginning to put together the program which includes photos and 30 minutes of words that I hope will 1.) Keep their attention 2.) Effectively communicate the sacrifices of all of our military and how many become involved when there is a casualty... from the time it happens and for the rest of their lives. The reminders of being attached to a casualty of war while serving doesnt leave once they are no longer serving. 3.) Using Jackson Street as the example: The importance of community involvement for them and what great accomplishments can be made when everyone pulls together. 4.) Not pick a scab for anyone or instill fear for any student who may have a family member serving. I always worry about that and its difficult to navigate and still get a message across. 5.) and words that wont make me too emotional...no emotion would be a miracle! Thank you!
