On Wednesday I flew home. That evening, Mom and I helped my aunt get my grandparents home after their minor automobile accident. Yesterday, during grandpas routine visit at the Seattle Cancer Care, they discovered that his potassium levels were dangerously high and rushed him to UW Medical. Well...rushed as well as they could as all ambulances were at SPU due to the shooting. He was kept overnight and admitted at 1:00 am. Today I got to keep grandpa company at UW Medical as the other family members who got home at 3:00 am were sleeping in as late as their morning people bodies would allow. Grandpa is now home after a much needed Olive Garden fix. Thanks be to God. Id like the world to be boring for at least one day. The only news I want is about huge, well distributed crops growing, families reuniting, peace talks progressing, friends reconnecting, and emissions declining. Boring, joyful things that are the result of careful work, deep commitment, and humanity at its best. If you could all help me with that, Id be grateful. I would really like a boring day after this week.
