On Wednesday St Paul’s Cathedral, (C/E), London, took their service of Choral Evensong, complete with clergy, choir and virgers, to the beautiful Roman Catholic Westminster Cathedral as part of the Week for Christian Unity. This photograph shows the St Paul’s choir sitting some distance from the clergy and congregation in the retro-choir behind the high altar. St Paul’s Director of Music, Andrew Carwood, thinks this apse is one of Londons very finest spaces in which to sing. Tomorrow, Friday 23 January, St Paul’s will host the clergy and choir of Westminster Cathedral in their magnificent edifice of worship where they will sing Solemn Vespers at 5 oclock in the evening.
