On Wednesday morning, the man who raised me, taught me lessons that instilled the values I possess today, held my hand through the many trials I faced as a child, and was my hero passed from this life to the next. He stood by me and always showed me love, not only through the good times, but also the bad and especially those times when the bad was of my own making. I am humbled by the out pouring of comments I have seen from people that knew him, the number of people that he touched, and the stories I have heard over the past few days. I thank you for that and the comfort it has brought me and my family.
