On Wednesday the South African President Jacob Zuma was in parliament responding to questions fielded by MPs. They were grilling him on a number of issues ranging from Marikana masacares, the Gupta gate; his Nkahla home, e-tolls etc. President Khama gave his state of the nation address on Monday. MPs have started responding. It would be imperative for MPs to question unflinchingly the following issues: Mosu gate (who financed the building of this home? What was the plot acquired for initially); the airstrip that is being built on private land (we need tangible answers not deception); Palapye glass project (we want to know what happened and how we shall recover our money); the BMC fiasco; and many other scandals that remain unaddressed.
