On Wednesday, we celebrated a big win in Placer County for land conservation at the dedication ceremony for Side Hill Citrus farm. Rich Ferreira’s 47-acre organic citrus farm has been permanently protected by an agricultural conservation easement. We were honored to help our partners – Placer County, the Sierra Nevada Conservancy, and Emigrant Trails Greenway Trust – make this easement possible. Officials from each of the organizations, along with other invited guest, attended the dedication to celebrate the importance of conserving and restoring important natural resources throughout the county. Side Hill Citrus produces high-quality organic fruit and plays a role in the local farm-to-fork movement by selling directly to local consumers. Plus…the mandarins taste AMAZING!
