On a March 7 conference call with immigration activists, New York - TopicsExpress

On a March 7 conference call with immigration activists, New York Democrat Luis Gutierrez referred to Obama as the “Deporter-in-Chief.” When the press asked about it, Congressman Gutierrez stood by his words. A week later, on March 13, President Obama met with the Congressional Hispanic Caucus leadership in the Oval Office, with Gutierrez in attendance. Obama told the Caucus he wants to change how immigration law is enforced. Obama ordered his new Homeland Security chief to conduct an “inventory” of current practices, to see if enforcement can be conducted “more humanely within the confines of the law.” He expressed his “deep concern” that too many families experience pain from our broken system. He then urged the Hispanic Caucus to put pressure on Republicans to get something passed. It’s easy to see that Obama gives the Congressional Hispanic Caucus more respect than he offers the Congressional Black Caucus. The Hispanic Caucus gets an Oval Office sit-down, and Obama’s promises to circumvent the law to please their activists. Six years into his term, Obama gave the Black Caucus vague promises about a pie-in-the-sky program to help black men when he leaves office, and that was that. One thing I hope the Hispanic Caucus notices. When Obama was first elected, Democrats owned everything. They had the White House, the Senate, and the House. Republican votes weren’t needed for anything but Obama didn’t lift a finger on immigration reform. Back then, Hispanic concerns didn’t matter to the Deporter-in-Chief. Obamacare did. And that is what we got. See ya on the bus mi hombre. reuters/article/2014/03/14/us-usa-immigration-obama-idUSBREA2D20R20140314
