…On a Serious Note… If any of you might be able to help me, I am looking for a little friendly assistance. During the String Cheese show on NYE I found myself in a rather scary situation. I was by myself near the stage during set break before the third set. I met a guy in the crowd (forgot his name but lives in Denver) who I started hanging out with. I briefly met the two girls he was with and we were all just sharing and caring in the moment as everyone else was. Once the lights turned out and the music started, one of the girls went into a full seizure. I looked back to see the girl in front of the guy convulsing and the guy holding her up in almost a hugging position. She was slowly going to the ground as he tried to keep her up. I quickly grabbed her and we both carried her through the crowd. We went to the closest yellow shirt and had them call a medic. I was lying on the ground with her head in my arm trying to see if she could say anything. I couldnt get her to talk, and I am not sure if she understood anything I was saying to her. I am not sure if she was even breathing at times. At one point I looked up and there was a medic looking down at me asking to give her to them. She was picked up and taken away along with her friends. At that point I wandered around for a moment and then decided it was time to leave. The impact of the evening has stuck with me a little more than I expected. I understand that these things happen under the circumstances of the environment and I am optimistic that everything worked out in a positive way for this woman. I do wonder though. At some point during all of this I grabbed a pair of sunglasses that belong to the girl who I helped carry out. I found them in my pocket when I got home. If anyone has a friend that recognizes these, have them contact me. I will be happy to get them to the owner. I also just want to know that she is OK. The glasses are Ray Bans.
