On a beautiful Sunday evening, Charlotte Marie Boling was born February 2, 1947 in Hinton, OK to Harold and Elsie Gathers. She went to be with her Lord on Tuesday, March 4, 2014 at her home in Hinton at the age of 67. Charlotte grew up on farms in Hinton and Missouri during her childhood. She loved hats as a child and helped on the farm milking cows, hoeing cotton, and cooking for the field workers. She enjoyed playing in the band and playing basketball while in high school and graduated from Hinton High School in 1965. She married her friend and life-long companion, Wayne Boling, June 18, 1965 in Hinton. She served Hinton Public Schools as the superintendent’s secretary for a number of years. She became a mother in 1969 and chose to stay at home loving and nurturing her children for the next 15 years. She enjoyed sewing, painting, reading and baking during those years. She sewed many Christmas stockings for her children’s classes and many May Day Program costumes through the years. In 1985, she started working at Red Rock Manor Nursing Home and worked there until 2005. She loved serving the community and loved the residents and staff and their families. Charlotte was currently working at the Hinton Telephone and CATV. She enjoyed her co-workers and serving her customers. She was the church pianist and secretary/treasurer for many years at Scott Baptist Church where she loved her church family and serving her Lord. She became Grandma Charlotte in 1996. She loved watching her grandkids dance and play sports. She cherished her visits to Texas to spoil her grandkids too. She enjoyed baking cookies and always fixed their favorite fried chicken, mash potatoes and noodles every time they all visited. She was preceded in death by her father, Harold Gathers. He always loving called her “Shorty”. Charlotte is survived by her husband Wayne Boling of the home, Hinton, OK; two children, Lonnie Boling and his wife Angela of Spring, TX, and Marla Pankratz and her husband Denny of Hydro, OK; six grandchildren, Emma, Chelsie, and Josh Pankratz, and Denver, Dakota, and Daxton Boling; three step-grandchildren, Joaquin, Andrew, and Brittany Sanchez; mother, Elsie Gathers of Hinton, OK; two brothers, Robert Gathers and his wife Debbie McKee-Gathers of Moore, OK, and Jon Gathers of Platt City, MO; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Memorial donations can be made to the Scott Baptist Church, Hinton, OK in her honor. Services: First Baptist Church, Friday, 2:30 pm, March 7, 2014, Hinton, OK Officiating: Rev. Mike Price and Rev.
