On a dark and rainy night exactly 29 years ago tonight (29 years yea right…that’s what he says every year) over the hills of Sao Paulo Brazil something sinister and evil roamed the sky. It was a warlock, a prince of darkness (probably a warlock salesman) looking down, searching for just the right spot to deposit his legacy, to carry on his twisted and perverse dealings upon the unsuspecting world. He needed to be selective so that this evil one would grow to become his successor, then he found what he was looking for… A family that was above all suspicion, a good family, honest and pure… the Taylor’s. On that night a boy was born, a boy with great promise and skills but with a dark side, a power to persuade honest people to submit to his will. He would be known as STEVE TAYLOR evil lord of marketing. On this night called Halloween by most a ritual is performed in Sao Paulo which includes fire and dance with excessive beverage consumption and possibly animal sacrifices to remember that faithful night. Tonight will be no different in the hills that surround Sao Paulo… but thousands of miles away in Okemos Michigan that tradition is also celebrated with fire and dance and excessive beverage consumption in the moonlight but under the innocent cover of a birthday celebration.
