On a different note, just to tell you what our government is now doing to vererans on disability, including my husband, his disability is being cut by 90%. This is after he was called to the Veterans hospital and spent less than 10 minutes talking to the doc--who did not examine him or even ask questions about things that were put into the letter. Hubby spent 20 years in the Seabees, 3 tours in Vietnam during the fighting. He worked 16 or more hours straight every day working with heavy equipment sometimes while being fired upon, slept and ate when he could, was exposed to agent orange, and was in such pain that they gave him big time pain killers so he could keep on working. (Pain killers they wouldnt prescribe after he got home and still had the pain.) Besides prostate cancer, he has arthritis now so bad hes in pain all the time and uses a cane to get around. And this is how hes rewarded for his service. Shameful! Ive heard it is happening to many others. Yes, hes appealing--but not sure it will do any good. (Also the arithmetic in the letter is so faulty is looks like the cut will also apply to his retirement, which wasnt much in the first place.)
