On a family hike we come upon a long grassy slope, wet with dew. Mike and Sam go sledding down while I shout for Mike to stop him before he gets to the edge. Mike playfully waits until the last second and stops the sled but not the baby who goes plummeting to his death below. This is the nightmare I relive when I close my eyes, and the reason I cant be in the same room with my poor, innocent husband right now.
