On a happier note, what do we all make of todays news of a thaw in US/Cuban relations, and the possible re-opening of the US market for Cuban cigars? Ive always theorised that the US embargo has raised prices in the premium cigar market throughout the world, irrespective of origin. Most of the non-Cuban supply is consumed in the US, whereas that countrys largest natural supplier has lost access to what could have been its best market for both supply and investment. Ideally then this could lead to more investment, more supply and lower prices for everyone.
