On a lighter note, I am pretty sure our new kitten Sweet Pea thinks she is a parrot. Her favorite place to settle and nestle and sleep and purr is on my right shoulder. Greg went out yesterday and came back with toys, a scratching post and a kitty tunnel. We have so quickly turned from the pet-less couple to doting, silly cat people. (Lord help us, we talk to her using words like Papa and Mama.... as in Go see your papa! or I think she wants her mama... Something I swore we would NEVER do.) It is surprising how much joy and comfort a little ball of pouncing, cuddly fur, weighing almost nothing, with a brain smaller than a clementine orange can bring to a home.
