On a personal note, thank you all for the birthday blessings.Tried to personally respond to a few, lakini cannot keep up.... It is good to be 25 again. Someone asked me what my birthday wish was and I can honestly say it is not one. This might be a little long. First of my wish and prayer is that we all take time to appreciate those around us a little more often. We all get caught up with being busy and forget that in the age of technology checking in one another does not take more than 15 seconds. A simple hallo, hope all is well with you shall suffice. Do not wait to write two fullscaps full of a eulogy after one has posed on, while you could have told that person the same thing while he/she was alive. Celebrate one in life not death. Recently I have been able to reconnect with guys that I went to high school with over 2 decades ago. One wrote a moving email in how our school was literally a melting pot of people from all over the country. From Mandera, to Turkana. Mombasa to Kisumu and everywhere in between. He reminded us to remember that while we were in school we never saw each other as being different because of tribe, color etc. We all were bullied in the same manner, experienced the same experiences. My prayer for my country Kenya that I love so much is that we as a people remember that we are Kenyans first before anything else. Everthing else thereafter is just a minor detail. Lastly, as my wife and I celebrate our daughter Ericas 21st birthday today, my wish is that she gets to achieve all her dreams, no matter how wild they may be. The sky is not the limit, there is a whole universe out there. She has and always will be the best birthday gift I have ever received....Amen
