On a pivotal third down in the fourth quarter, a pass interference - TopicsExpress

On a pivotal third down in the fourth quarter, a pass interference call wouldve given the Detroit Lions a first down and a chance to extend their lead against the Dallas Cowboys. Instead the flag was picked up nearly one minute later, the Lions shanked a punt and the Cowboys have a chance to take the lead. Matthew Stafford threw to Brandon Pettigrew while Anthony Hitchens was in coverage and as the ball nearly got there, Hitchen ran with hands in the air toward Pettigrew, nearly running into him. Initially pass interference was called, but was later the flag was picked up. What also cant be overlooked is Cowboys receiver Dez Bryant, who ran out onto the field with his helmet off to protest the call with the referee, which would typically result in a 15-yard penalty. That was also not called.
