On a sad note, I heard that friend, Ross Bearss died yesterday. I visited him in Maple Park Lodge about a month ago. A few years ago I made a DVD on him and was an interesting story, with his appliance store in Ridgeway, along with Duck Lake Park, he created behind his house on Ridge Rd. He planted many thousands of trees there and did a lot of grafting. While back there he showed me how to graft fruit trees. I took this picture of him beside this windmill he brought down from up north. He had it hanging in his room at Maple Park! RIP Ross!
