On a sad note this morning the building that was originally the Curtis and Jones Shoe Company located at 8th and Oley ( also known as The Big Mill when operating as an outlet), burned early this morning around 4:00. Its ironic that the founder of the shoe company Frederick Curtis,whose home located on Hill Road and was featured on this page also suffered a significant fire a few years back. The home is in the process of being rebuilt, hopefully the mill property will be as well.
