On an over 100ft tyrolean traverse Saturday at ABF Mudrun in NJ. In the lead my brother Stephen Vassallo and I neck and neck. Before our wave went out, Chad Mason founder of ABF proposed a friendly wager. He would do 30 burpees for every athlete that can complete every obstacle without penalty. And we would do 30 burpees for each one we failed. Of course my brother and I both took that bet, vowing we would not fail one. I started off on top of the rope, my back leg got tired so I tried to switch legs. This caused me to flip over under the rope. My legs touched the water but I was still safe. Chad my man, literally jumped out of his seat on his ATV and belted out this tremendous cheer as if his favorite football team scored in the super bowl, all because he thought I was going down and I failed. Bob Mulholland was it witness. LOL, nice Chad, joke was on you. I held on, lifted my legs and proceeded to the other end underneath where I was faster and stronger anyway. Haha. But the joke was on me a few minutes later when I failed the warp wall, lol. Great course Chad. I know inside you always want me to succeed.
