On another note, I think part of the reason Kendricks verse is getting so much attention is because the current hip hop generation is crying out for a voice to represent or define it. Hip Hop needs to COLLECTIVELY voice opinions on the social issues at this time in a way that is unprecedented and not commercialized. We need to cultivate the energy or yearning to be heard.
