On approximately this date in 1987 after a month of unemployment & fearful uncertainty I started a milestone job working for Chicagos 15th largest law firm on floors 69, 71, 73, 73, 74 & 93 of the Sears Tower. There I met dear ZG, Jean Stanford, Patricia Seals, Laura A. Klopp, Meg Bayer Jordan, Debra Wadlington House, Lily Beltran, Karen Cibert Neumann and many, many others. I was told not to act star struck when Willie Gault came by -- and could tell by the sudden quickening of Zs pulse that he was either mayor or a sports guy. (My moment was about a year later when one of Steppenwolf Theatres cutest came to MY desk.) HAPPY ANNIVERSARY to Z who is still there & respected. Who would have thought, 17 years later I would be starting my 12th official job on this date..... not counting freelance, independent caregiver/contractor, stand-up, & open mike booker/night club manager. Its true what they say. .. the more things change the more that describes my salary. Ch-ch-ch-changes!
