On behalf of Pie Mathematics Association, we are conducting a programme regarding application of mathematics for engineers at Adhiparasakthi College of Engineering, Kalavai. Tomorrow being 30th, we are asked to observe certain interesting properties of 30, We are providing (3+0) interesting properties of 30: 1. 30 is the smallest number with three distinct prime factors and so it is the smallest number with 8 divisors. 2. The icosahedron and the dodecahedron are Platonic solids with 30 edges. The icosidodecahedron is an Archimedean solid with 30 vertices, and the Tutte–Coxeter graph is a symmetric graph with 30 vertices. 3. 30 is the seventh semi-perfect number. In number theory, a semiperfect number or pseudoperfect number is a natural number n that is equal to the sum of all or some of its proper divisors. A semiperfect number that is equal to the sum of all its proper divisors is a perfect number. The first few semiperfect numbers are 6, 12, 18, 20, 24, 28, 30, 36, 40, ... Pie Mathematics Association.
