On behalf of Tourism Bell Island, I would like to thank the many people who showed up today to the grand opening to the Keepers Interpretation Center and Café. Many thanks to the federal and provincial government departments who have partnered with us. We want to thank our mayor Gary Gosine and all the councillors for throwing their full support behind us in all of our projects especially the Keepers Café. To the office staff and outside workers who provided their work and expertise, we thank you for your support to tourism. To all our corporate donors, volunteers and workers who put the residence back together. To these executive members of Tourism Bell Island: Hollie Neary, Bruce Hann, Kay Crane and Stephanie Adams who spent countless volunteer hours making this project a reality. To our MHA David Brazil who continues to work tirelessly on behalf of tourism, we thank you for your support and enthusiasm for tourism. Congratulations to the student workers today who acted so professionally as servers and to our cooks and our pastry Chef Ernst for the food so professionally prepared. The Keepers Interpretation Center and Café is a living symbol of what can be accomplished when volunteers, government and workers join forces to make something special.
