On behalf of eritrean refugee thanks all who stand for us infront of UNHCR office for asking solution for us BREAKING NEWS FROM THE SALAM NEWS MAGAZINE: Strong demonstration in Stockholm The Red Sea Afar Diaspora in Sweden (RADIS), a charity association with no political affiliation, organized a demonstration in the Swedish capital Stockholm, in front of UNHCR branch office to condemn the irresponsable action of UNHCR office in Yemen. More than 200 Eritrean refugees, majority of them of Afar ethnic groupe , including women, children and elderly people are dumped in the streets and of Sanaa and exposed to cold and rain. Nearly 150 protesters participated in the demonstration to send strong message to the UN High Commissioner for Refugees. The Red Sea Afar youth took a major role in organizing the demonstration and especially young people leaving in Sweden and who have been in the notorious prison of Al Hodeida in Yemen. The Swedish Afar NGO, Afar Friends in Sweden, who gave great logistical assistance to RADIS has been represented by Mr Hamad Issa, and his wife. Prince Omar Ali Mirah, Amir of Sultanate of AWSA and the son of, the Messenger of Peace, the late Sultan Ali Mirah Hanfare was among the attendees to show solidarity with refugees. Eritrean Swedish human rights activist Mrs Aisha Gaas held a touching speech on the catastrofic situation of refugees in Sanaa. Mr Nair Fesseha, chairman of the Swedish-Eritrean cooperation organization (SESADU) actively participated in the demonstration. From Eritrean political organizations, the Eritrean Federal Movement was represented by Mr Abdul Wahed. There were strong participation from Afar political organizations as well; the Red Sea Afar Democratic Organization (RSADO) through Mr Mohamed Maar, Mr Yassin Abdallah and Mr Humed Hamad (Head of the Swedish office) and the Eritrean Afar Democratic Movement (EADM) through Mr Ali Issa. Mrs Mansura Ibrahim, representative of the Eritrean Afar State in Exil (EASE) expected to attend the demonstration but apologized at the last minute due to a meeting in the UNHCR Office in Geneva. Social media such as the Afar Paltalk room Pan Afar Discussion Forum was represented by Mr Mohamed Kamal The Kabire Charity Association was represented by Mr Abdul Wahab. Many media autlets as Radio Arkokabay, Radio Arena, Salam news Magazine as well as Gash Barka website broadcasted demonstration. It is also worth mentioning the significant participation of Afars from Djibouti and Afars from the Afar regional state in Ethiopia to show their strong solidarity with their fellow Afars in Eritrea. During the audiance to RADIS the UNHCR branch in Sweden expressed their understanding of anger from protesters and promised to pass their message to the head quarter of UNHCR in Geneva in Switzerland as well as to the UNHCR office in Sanaa, Yemen.
