On behalf of me, my wife, and my family, I would like to thank everyone who kept us in their thoughts and prayers after my grandmothers passing. It has been hard on everyone, but hardest on my father... he spent more time with her every day than anyone else, and he was left with having to deal with all of the arrangements as his brothers could not bring themselves to do it. I am thankful that my aunts Patricia and Faye Avant stepped in to help him and take some of the weight from his shoulders. I would also like to thank Reverend Elbert Smith, who officiated both my grandmothers funeral and my grandfathers funeral nearly 30 years ago. Again, thank you to everyone who posted, messaged, sent wishes and/or food, and attended the services. You are all appreciated by the Avant family.
