On behalf of one of our members: My name is Nicole Lokietz, and I am a master’s student in the occupational therapy program at California State University, Dominguez Hills. Inspired by our parents who have survived cancer, my research team (Megan Parke and Rachel Lo) and I are conducting research to better understand which daily activities, performance skills, psychosocial factors, and body functions are commonly affected among cancer survivors after receiving primary cancer treatment. Additionally, we are collecting demographics and measuring quality of life as well. In order to measure these aspects, we have created a short, anonymous survey via google docs. If you know of anyone who might be interested in participating in our study, we would greatly appreciate your help in passing along our survey as we are in need of participants. The survey has been approved by our university’s Institutional Review Board (see links below) and takes about 20 minutes to complete. Also, the information is completely confidential, where no identifying information is collected. Although this is a small scale study, we are hoping to shed light on the needs of cancer survivors, and we would love your help in identifying these needs.
