On behalf of the leadership of this great union (Foreign Students Association of Ghana) I say a happy new month to all our members and to the International Students Union world wide - our affiliate. It is with great joy that I welcome all freshers and continuing students back to campus as a union, judging from where we are coming from and where we are going to, the following programs have being lined up by the its leadership for the union: 1) reconstitution our governing council: this is will be done because some of the I.S.A and F.S.A presidents that we had in it have handed over to new executives thus there is a need to formally inaugurate the new and old ones this will be done within the first half of September all those involved (I.S.A and F.S.A) presidents of different schools will be communicated to in due course. As a union we are equally aware that there are schools that neither have an I.S.A nor an F.S.A thus we will assist them the best way we can to achieve this we have already started doing this and will continue to. 2) For administrative convenience, the union will be regionalize and this regions will be headed by an I.S.A or F.S.A president in that region as will be determined in the first governing council meeting the regional heads are not autonomous entities thus will be reporting to the executive council. 3) All work and no play they say make Jack a dull boy so on the 11 of 10 2014 our partners (e style production etc) and we will be hosting the first ever BACK to SCHOOL BEACH and POOL PARTY 4 )fsaghana.org our dynamic web site is on the state of completion. once it is done, our members will have the opportunity to advertise there events those of us who are into music will now have the opportunity of uploading there music to our youtube channel for the world to appreciate it. 5) our meet the people tour will be held between SEPTEMBER and OCTOBER this will be done with the intent of hearing directly from the people, knowing there problems and solving as many as we can before the first ever International Students Day celebration. 6) 17th of Nov annually is INTERNATIIONAL STUDENTS DAY me and my entire executive are working round the clock so that for the first time in history the International Students in Ghana will join there peers across the globe to celebrate this day and not just celebrating it but doing so in a grand style. 7) As a union, we are also committed to the academic success of our members bearing in mind that they are all students thus it will not only going to be party in and party out in collaboration with LIGHT AND GLORY WORLD WIDE (N.G.O) we will be conducting special but free tutorials to our members details of this will be made known soon 8) we are in talk with certain institutions so that our members will be receiving discounts when receiving there services once any deal is signed, we will let you no. more programs, events, services and any modification to this ones will be communicated to you all through any channel available to us. Let me use this medium to answer the numerous questions being asked by our members, brothers and sisters who are yet to return to Ghana I wish to state that Ghana has neither closed its boarders nor airspace against any country due to Ebola and that there is no known proven case of Ebola in Ghana we urge them even as they make plans to return for studies to abide by W.H.O directives on the disease. we also encourage our members even as they return to abide and adhere to the laws of Ghana? feel free at all times to call us on +233 (0) 575990308 or email us on foreignstghana@gmail to make inquiry, complain or report on anything bothering you as a foreign student in Ghana. Long live the Republic of Ghana Long live the International Student union world wide Long live Foreign Students Association of Ghana. Comrade Ekwem Douglas Executive president (F.S.A.-GH)
