On debating Trinitarians When debating a trinitarian it is important to only refute the things they mention in that conversation. If you refer to something they have said earlyer they will deny saying it. It is also inportant to repeat their point back to them so they cant deny makeing it when refuted. When dealing with a delusional person one must understand the delusion eliminates reason and logic. The delusional do not need their own proofs to believe in the delusion. Refuting them will not remove the delusion. When presenting your point try to construct is as a question this will make your point resonate in their subconscious mind which can not ignore questions. Even if you fail to convince them, the points you made will remain in their thoughts and cannot be forgotten. A trinitarian will present around ten proofs of their trinity usauly a single verse. If you refute nine and not the tenth they will deny your refute of the nine for the sake of the tenth even if they agreed they where wrong. I ask for them to pick one of their proofs that they feel is the strongest and make them focus on that proof. Trinitarians are unaware they are on the defensive they are the ones being called into question. remind them as a biblical Unitarian they agree with your doctrine. All believe Jesus was Fully human. Bring it to their attention they are the ones claiming he is more than human in origin. Make it clear they believe as you do he was fully human. Do not expect progress during the debate only hope logic will set in later and free them from their bondage. Though you feel its pointless you never know who God will set free. These are two terms all trinitarian apoligists are addicted to. They will without fail use these terms in debate with a denyer of the trinity doctrine. RED HERRING The idiom red herring is used to refer to something that misleads or distracts from the relevant or important issue (Term used by trinitarians to deflect an objection to their interpretation of a scripture.) STRAW MAN A straw man is a common type of argument and is an informal fallacy based on the misrepresentation of an opponents argument (Term used by trinitarians who claim refuted proof texts commonly used by there faith are created by the opposition and not used to prove the doctrine of the trinity.) Few things Ive noticed, hope it helps I know we all have loved ones caught up in this delusion. Yah Bless
