On facebook it says what is on your mind, ha ha. So much dont know whether i am coming or going. First and foremost what a successful parade, I eventually made it to the park by following Vincent McAllister, he couldnt get rid of that car quick enough I wonder why, ha ha.Tremendous festival with great advocates, sponsors and supporters. Most people dont realise this festival is a year in the making, frequent meetings throughout the year with people giving up their time on a voluntary basis. Most Tuesday nights the committee split their meetings between both the Windmill and the Cavern, thank you to both Stephen and Collie for catering for us on a constant basis. Delighted the opening parade went so well, I looked mighty good, if i do say so myself, ha ha.. Congratulations to the newly appointed Lord Mayor Raymond Mullen and also to Windmill Man Davy Mccutcheon, both men supreme in raising so much money for three life saving charities Southern area hospice, Childrens Heartbeat Trust and Parkinsons. Davy and Raymy should hold their head high after raising the insurmountable amount of over £9000, 00. Inundated with so many posts, all quiet all year, and then boom. I feel like Santa Claus, ha ha WE ARE THE PEOPLE.
