On friday m Abuela was laid to rest. At her service ppl spoke kind words about her which was beautiful, but real talk… my fondest memories or my Abuela are acts of violence on me… particularly the infamous COCOTASO. 1st COCOTASO: 11:30 pm 1975. The family were watching Richard Pryor and Chevy Chase on Saturday Night Live. I was supposed to be in bed sleeping, instead I was hiding under my moms bed. When Chevy Chase called Rich a nigga and Rich called him Dead Honkey everyone busted out laughing, me included. I got dragged from under the bed, caught a Fred Flintstone knot to the noggin via Abuelas Cocotaso that put me fast to sleep. It was worth it though. Ive gotta about a dozen cocotasos from her from 75 to 84ish for numerous things like; hitting younger cousins, getting kicked out of H.S Art & Design for fighting, but they were all done out of
