On keeping food *satisfying*: Im a huge fan of making my food palatable, enjoyable, and worth looking forward to eating! Theres not an ounce of me that is an expert in the kitchen, but the little things I do for myself make all the difference in the world. And they all revolve around FAT. √ pinch of cheese on my scrambled egg whites √ pinch of cheese and strip of bacon on my salad √ hard boiled eggs on my salad √ handful of nuts with an apple √ full fat salad dressing √ small spoonful of almond butter when Im standing at the fridge, looking for something but knowing Im not hungry √ bacon with roasted brussels sprouts (is there anything better?) Its very rare that I use a full serving of any of these at any given time. Because I use full-fat varieties, they are so satisfying, add a ton of flavor, and keep my brain and belly happy. For those concerned about calories...yes, fat is very dense in calories. But because Im using partial servings in a strategic way that works best for me, its all good. Experiment with what fats bring you the most satiety. Dont inhale them. Savor them. Enjoy them. Dont waste your time on any fat that doesnt make your tastebuds sing. :)
