On my drive to work this past week, everyday Ive been passing a green jeep parked in a pull out. I never thought much about it. My son being a little more observant than me , stopped yesterday to see him. The story is about Nick, he is travelling from Ft St John through the Okanagan. When his transmission gave out on him. He is parked 3 miles from Vernon on Commonage Rd. He decided he is just going to fix it right there. He is almost done. Remember he has been at this for days. A fellow on a Harley has decided to help him, even towing a piece of plywood out behind his Harley so Nick doesnt have to lay in the gravel while he tinkers away. NICK IS CHANGING HIS TRANSMISSION ON THE SIDE OFF THE ROAD IN A GRAVEL PULLOUT!!! This is a big job. So here is my view on it. Nick has a problem. He decides to fix it. WIN! Guy on Harley joins forces to help him. WIN! Nick inspired my son with his solution to his problem. WIN! Ive dropped him off two coffees now and will be doing so every time I go that way. WIN for Nick!! WIN for me. Cheers for today!
