On my mind this morning. The interior of my truck will never be - TopicsExpress

On my mind this morning. The interior of my truck will never be the same. For the last 5 evenings, I have been driving my son and 3 of his friends to Vacation Bible School. Our tradition is to go for ice cream the last night. This morning, I know I will find a spoon or two, VBS toys, and other stuff under seats and between cushions. I enjoy eavesdropping on the conversations the boys have during the drive. The conversations range from sports, to girls (ugh, and they are only 10 years old), to favorite teachers, to movies, to typical boy humor. One evening, the conversation took a serious turn as the boys talked about college and where they want to go. (Personally, I dont remember thinking about college until I was in high school.) As they talked, my son and his friend realized that going to college meant they may be living far away from each other. There was a moment of silence, then my sons friend said, I dont like the idea of us being so far apart. Maybe that fear of separation is not so foreign for any of us. Perhaps that is why the apostle Paul gives us this promise, Nothing can separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord. For, we are not meant to be alone. Blessings. Pastor Tim @timmentzer
