On my most recent post, WHAT WILL YOUR NEW NAME BE? I received the following comment: When a person understands the kingdom vision knowing what Christ has done for them, this should led to repentance which is grounded in excitement about the future. We should not be too concerned with what Satan is doing since our call is to preach Christ and him crucified, risen and coming again. My only questions: Is this guy in charge of the Holy Spirit? Does the Lord has to clear things with him before sending others to deliver the message He wants them to have for that moment? And another thing...does he honestly believe that ignoring the devil will make him go away? If this is his style of ministering, I have no problem with that. But who is he to tell others how to minister and what to say and how to say it? The message of the cross; preaching Christ and Him crucified is the method, not the only objective. Because according to 2 Timothy 3:16-17 16 All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, 17 that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work. Jesus certainly did not forbid the teaching of the rest of the Word, since we are preaching Christ, and Christ is the Word. So, we are to preach the Word and the Word crucified. I find it petty when a person persecute for no good reason at all. Just petty. And speaking of Satan, why not let him do his own job sometime instead of doing his job for him? This is why no one wants anything to do with Christianity...we never stop butting heads with one another over the pettiest issues. How can 2 walk together unless they agree? They cant. A house divided against itself will fall. Jesus said that. [Lord, I know these are the last days. But I pray that the people who are called by your name would come to accept your teachings as a whole and not in parts as many of us are guilty of doing. I pray for illumination for all who have seen the Light, myself included, as I am not exempted from correction, reproof nor instruction in righteousness. Help us not to celebrate the victory, yet neglect to run the race. It is you who have given us a measure of faith to believe. And its you who calls us to yourself to receive redemption and salvation. We have nothing to boast about in your show of mercy...for it is Grace alone from You alone. But now that we have your blood covering upon our souls and your Spirit within our infrastructure, it is my desire to please you...to take on a true form of Godliness and accepting the Power thereof. That means I stand in awe of you and respect, love, honor, obey, glorify, follow, yield to, trust in and live for you now. My life is not my own, for I were bought with a price. I pray for eyes to see; ears to hear; hearts to soften; hands to work righteously; mentalities to become compliant; lives to become transformed; minds to be renewed; faith walks to be straightened instead of zigzagging; and for all of the requirements of true discipleship to be performed with gladness. For its a joy to serve and worship you. Lord, let us not fall onto the point of the sword that belong to a reprobate mind and bring swift destruction upon ourselves. I pray these things in the name of Jesus. Amen.]
