On my personal FB page, Im in a For Sale in My County group. I just happened to see one stay-at-home moms cry for help about earning money so she can stay home with her kids. Of course, there were cries for Plexus, Avon, I need you to put links on Craigslist for me and all the normal stuff like that. But here is my response. The most valid opportunities are ones you make yourself. I am a real work at home mom. I taught myself graphic design and also offer indie publishing services. I am threaded into the vast homeschool network that exists in cyberland. I personally know work at home moms who run very successful blogs and make $60k plus a year doing it. Its not instant money. Like other legitimate jobs, blogging takes time to grow your business. But these bloggers need help managing their businesses and often turn to other work at home moms to help them. If you establish yourself as a virtual assistant, a social media promoter, an editor, a graphic designer, a professional pinterest account manager, as a marketer to sell their ad space and newsletter space, etc., there is good money to be made working from home. Legitimately. My own site is thehelpyhelper. I started out doing website design (again, taught myself) and my business has rapidly grown these last 12 months. I stay booked 3 months out. The biggest talent a person can have is the ability to teach herself. The world is your oyster. My husband is a prison chaplain out here in Tennessee Colony and I work from home in my pajamas most days. Sometimes I actually put on real clothes. But everyone at Walmart thinks pajamas are real clothes, so I guess its a win-win here in East Texas.
