On my recent trip to Ashland, WI, I picked up quite a number of items that we have had stored for the past 8 years. I brought back lots of memory item including some toys that I played with as a young boy and also toys that our kids and our older grandkids played with as young children. The white castle you see was a toy we bought for our first grandchild, Elise, when she was about a year old. Our newest granddaughter, Willa Maggie - one yr. old - was fascinated with this castle and made all the thingies go around, beep, etc. She also kept checking the mailbox for mail and played with all the moving parts including the door, the flowers and the veggies. The other picture is of two rocking horses that our kids had. The smaller one is the most memorable and our son Eric named him Old Buck. Old Buck has a brother Big Buck and Eric made both of these horses rock and roll. Old Buck must be at least 30 years old by now. Our grandson, Golovin, hopped on Big Buck immediately and boy did he ever ride-em cowboy. Its great to see kids still enjoying these physically active toys in this age of electronic games and high-tech gizmoes.
