On my walk, I saw an owl swoop from a tree and try to scoop up the most scared little mouse running across the wide open street. The owl missed and tried again, but missed again, and that little mouse just kept scurrying along, head down and dragging his butt behind him until he disappeared into the bushes. The owl lifted up onto a lamp post, no doubt to assess where things had gone wrong with a simple meal pick up. And I had my camera out about five seconds too late to capture any of that. But I did manage some nice shots of the concrete.
