On my walks around town, despite the early morning hours, I - TopicsExpress

On my walks around town, despite the early morning hours, I usually greet passer-bys with a “morning” and garner a greeting in return. This morning, however, was a different story. It was still rather blustery when I left, so I grabbed my nearest hat, which just so happened to be Cleveland Browns hat, with dog ear flaps. I was surprised. No. Shocked. At the number of passer-bys who looked the other way, refusing to acknowledge me, despite my inititating a good morning. So, in light of this, I have a proposal for the Grand City experiment. How ‘bout if Cincinnatians try to be nice to Clevelanders this week? How about if we require those rooted here to come up with new material, something fresh, to say about Cleveland. (This means you Mark Manley). How about if we acknowledge that there is plenty to learn from a town that knows how to bounce back, when they are knocked down. How about if we say good morning, if you see me on the street? I’ll think you’ll find that Cleveland Browns fans are not as obnoxious as you think. As a matter of fact, we are downright “lovely”, wouldn’t you say Mark Manley
