On my way home from the store this morning I witnessed the sweetest act of love as I pulled up to the stoplight. The sun was bright and it was already getting hot. As I looked across the street I noticed an older couple standing at the opposite corner waiting to cross the street. The man was holding an open umbrella over his sweetheart to keep her shaded from the sun. He stood as tall as is frail body could muster and carried the protective shield proudly. Soon they were out of my site, but the vision of it will remain in my heart.
