On nights like tonight, I am so glad that I am a part of a church family that celebrates an OPEN COMMUNION TABLE - so that anyone who feels led by Jesus to be a guest at his table is WELCOME to come. I hope you might find some special way to mark Christmas Eve not just as a time of festivity and family - but also as a time to honor the birthday boy! If you are here in Roanoke, I would love to see you at Mount Pleasant United Methodist Church, 3035 Mount Pleasant Blvd., across from MPES. Our candlelight Communion worship is at 6 p.m. We also have a very brief Communion time at 12 noon today, to help extend the table to those who cant be present this evening. If you are elsewhere, and dont have a church, find one. Youll be glad you did!
