On our path towards God and our desire to taste the sweetness of faith, perhaps we need to look beyond the spiritual periphery we have become so fixated on and seek out the hidden passageways. Our daily ritual prayers (and other acts of worship) which compel us to forsake our comforts for His remembrance are the necessary transactions required of indentured servants seeking passage from this world to a greater new world. We fulfill those obligations because we must but the incessant noise and clamor of the modern era causes our hearts to be unsettled; over-stimulated by the light of the blazing sun they require rest and repose under the gentle light of the moon. When we are willing to set aside the plate and glass, put down the fork and spoon, and push away the covers we will finally unload the dead weight of heedlessness that weighs us down. With every movement of our limbs, every bend and bow, and even when we fall to our faces, we will become increasingly elevated, and with Gods facilitation, the sweetness of faith that we so desperately wish to experience will enter our hearts and never leave. #khushooiscalling #answerthecall #tahajjud
