On our way out of town tonight, we stopped at the new BP at Penn and Jeff. I went inside to check out the new store. Awesome! Really looks nice. I was surprised to see the Pita Pit was still open at 10:30 (they stay open until 11 on the weekends) I decided to try one. Buck greeted me and asked what I would like. I told him Id never been to Pita Pit before and asked what he would recommend. A lot of people like the Dagwood. He reported. Then the Dagwood it shall be. I had him run it through the garden, throwing in all the good veggies, but held short on the jalapeño peppers (we had a long drive ahead of us). A bit of their special onion sauce and the pita was ready to wrap. When I went back to the car, Melissa asked, Oooo. What is this? We shared the sandwich, or wrap, or pocket....or whatever they actually call it... BAM! Right out of the ball park with this one. We are definitely going back for another. The breakfast pita caught my attention. Maybe that will be our next entree. Good food, reasonably priced and a beautiful store. Hats off to the folks at Elliott Oil. Your new store puts yet another feather, in the cap of Ottumwa!
