On our way to go grocery shopping, we realized it was our best opportunity to get the car inspected. This turned out to be a popular idea, so while we were waiting our turn, we strolled around Woburn Center a bit. We spent some time appreciating what a remarkable, gorgeous building the Woburn Public Library is (a gem by H.H. Richardson.) We then went and admired the (now a year old but still) new monuments in honor of Woburn veterans and those who fell in the line of duty. We noticed how the dome on City Hall is really about due for a fresh coat of gold leaf, but what a fine building it is just the same. These are all things we "see" every day, but we are paying more attention to the oncoming cars or the jerk who cut us off or whether the bus is coming. It was a fine thing to have time to really see them.
