On our way to volunteer at SWRC this morning, eagle-eye Shannon McD spotted……..the Queen Lane Reservoir Eagle!!!! …. exactly where I left him/her last Saturday….on a tall pole above the stone steps at HenryAve and Bowman St. Miracle of miracle I had my camera and, despite the gray day, some of my photos werent total silhouettes. There is a place to pull in by the steps and a slope of grass that allowed me to climb up closer. The eagle was not at all bothered by my approach and I managed to get a few head shots before s/he took off in the direction of the fSchuylkill River fish ladder (about 3-4 miles south of the reservoir).
