On photo is among those medicines being distributed from UNKNOWN sources but was confirmed by the Catbalogan City Health Office as a Prophylaxis Medicine that they are about to give out this afternoon as part of the mitigation they are undertaking amid the Menengococemia Issue hounding the city since early morning today. I interviewed Dra. Gerarda Tizon, the CHO, and told that there is NO REASON for everyone to panic considering that the medical issue is NOT YET CONFIRMED to be a Menenggococemia Case and will have to wait for 2 days for the Laboratory Examination of the samples taken from the patients. It is now at EVRMC. BUT because of the symptoms shown by the patients before their death which leads to Menenggococemia, the CHO as a mitigation. is now conducting CONTACT TRACING to give Prophalyxis Medicine to the persons with direct contact with the patients, especially the family and within the Neighborhood who might want to take in the medicines. The first body was already buried and second body will be buried today, and Lamay will not be allowed. There is NO TRUTH to the reports that the Classes were suspended because of this issue, the Class Suspension is because most of the Classrooms will be used as evacuation centers for those in the Landslide prone areas.
