On the 10th day of August 2013, a girl named Chenaye Gift Marie A. Mercado, which happens to be me, wrote a poem and turned it into a song about a girl who is retelling those past moments she had with this particular guy... BUT, the sad part is, they were NOT a couple. Instead, they just had this Mutual Understanding. So the girl tries to reminisce the day when they both LAID EYES on each other, how they FELL IN LOVE, and how her love story ENDED UP on these FOUR words: Should Have Been Us... ** Performing my original song composition on stage was the BEST experience ever! (It was my first time though) especially when EVERYONE sang along with me during the chorus. I never really expected this song to be loved and appreciated by people who hear it. I only wrote this because I wanted to express my feelings and my inner thoughts... So, I want to say that Im totally happy that people could relate to the lyrics and I hope you would, too ;) I also want to thank those people who wished me luck and gave their support even though they werent given the chance to see the event live. I would also like to thank my classmates who didnt enter our Environmental Science class just to watch me play, to my classmates during my first semester here in USJ-R, who also cheered. And most especially, I would like to THANK THE PERSON WHO INSPIRED ME TO WRITE THIS SONG because if it werent for you, I wouldnt be writing this and people wont even know this SONG exists. ;) Even though they dont know me and even though I am not their classmate, still, they cheered and shouted for me, and that was very overwhelming and absolutely AMAZING. So, thanks again. :* #ShouldHaveBeenUS
