On the 11th October, 2014 Westline Speedway will be hosting there 1st race meeting for the season under new management, with Formula 500 dual of the desert, Wingless, juniors and AMCA’s. But it appears over the off season Whyalla Speedway has had a face life. The track itself has been widen and new clay has been added, the track has had 6 brand new lights with 2000 watts installed and the race wall has been painted pink in support of breast cancer (but supporting all cancers). The pit area has been extended and the lineup grid has been widened & renewed. For the spectators the canteens facilities and toilets have been fixed up and the grandstand on the back straight is having an overhaul, also general maintenance is being done within and around the track.
