On the 25th of April IMESClub held two panels in the framework of the Global University Summit 2014 and the VIII Russian International Studies Association Convention. The first one was «Global Efforts to Settle the Situation in the Middle East. Capabilities of the Deauville Partnership» (GUS) moderated by Robert Legvold (Professor Emeritus of Columbia University) and by Irina Zviagelskaya (Chief Researcher at the Institute of Oriental Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences, IMESClub co-founder and member) and the second one - «Middle East: New Regionalism in the context of transformation» (RISA) moderated by Professor Zviagelskaya and Alexander Aksenenok (Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary in retirement, IMESClub member). The discussion was very lively, free and resulting. During the upcoming month IMESClub will publish the papers of the participants and the final report, that will sum up the meeting.
