On the Burt Reynolds Park island west of US1 and south of the boat ramp and Chamber of Commerce building there is a wooded area. Part of that area has a fenced off concrete slab that has been used for years for staging construction equipment for the US1 bridge replacements and Harbourside. Next to the slab in the woods are some old concrete walls that look like they were once the walls of a building. Given the tree growth it must have been many decades ago - maybe 1950s or 1960s? Anyone know what used to be there?
