On the Debate on the Balance of Forces, Aziz writes in January 1986;The UDF met with the ANC in Stockholm.UDF Delegates included Arnold S to file, Mohammed Valley Moosa, Cheryl Carolus and Raymond Suttner. The ANC Delegation was led by OR Tambo and included Alfred Nzo, Thomas Nkosi, Thabo Mbeki, Mac Maharaj and Aziz.The ANC reps analysed the internal political developments and concluded that the increasing mass - militant action and the international sanctions campaign had created a crisis in the Apartheid State.in our view, it was important for the UDF to have better regional and national cooperation. It should employ more full -time organisers, especially in the rural areas and formulate a PA based on the rejection.of the Tricameral Parliament. The ANC recommended that the UDF launch a national rent strike, demand the release of political prisoners and launch a campaign to reject the governments proposal to reform influx control.....
